This figure has been growing constantly around the world and it was about time, the general figure was collected around mainstream investors’ interest in cryptocurrencies. Therefore, a survey was recently conducted in order to know the interest of mainstream investors in cryptocurrencies.
The survey shows that the number of mainstream investors is constantly growing in the cryptocurrency sector. According to the survey, mainstream investors have been making investments in cryptocurrencies in order to increase their profits and revenues.
A recent survey has revealed that a total of 62% of mainstream/institutional investors who currently have no exposure to cryptocurrencies are planning to invest in cryptocurrencies eventually. The survey reveals that many mainstream institutional investors are planning to invest in cryptocurrencies in the upcoming year.
The survey was recently carried out by Nickel Digital Asset Management, a major investment manager from Europe. Nickel Digital Asset Management reportedly shared the results of the survey it conducted on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.
The firm has revealed that in the survey, they managed to interview a total of 100 participants. Of the total participants, 50 were institutional investors and the other 50 were wealth managers. These institutional investors and wealth managers are from different countries around the world.
The countries include the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Germany, France, the United Kingdom (UK), and the United States (US). Nickel has confirmed that it had carried out the survey through the internet, which took place between the months of May and June 2021.
From the survey Nickel has also found the reason why the institutional investors wish to invest in cryptocurrencies. The survey reveals that the mainstream institutions have found cryptocurrencies to be extremely lucrative and profitable.
The investors have stated that the potential of capital increase by investing in cryptocurrencies for the long term is really high. The survey reveals that 47% of the total participants have provided this reasoning for investing in cryptocurrencies.
Out of the total investors, 44% revealed that they had very high confidence and trust in the ability of cryptocurrencies as profitable assets. These investors preferred cryptocurrencies over traditional investments assets and instruments.
Then there were a total of 41% of participants who stated that they are hoping that better regulatory infrastructure surrounding cryptocurrencies will be introduced by 2022. Therefore, they are willing to make investments in cryptocurrencies in the upcoming year.
